Guest Artist Neil LeDoux

Brookdale Recreation Center at 3235 High Street had a series of visits from Artist Neil LeDoux. Neil worked with a group of youth to develope visual images on the topic of "Water Dreams". The work was installed at Key that Fit Window Gallery for a First Friday opening in downtown Oakland.

Artist's Thrive-Professional Development Workshop for Artists

Oakland has many opportunities for Artists to turn from hobby to professional. Through a series of workshops discover the ways to maximize your exposure and gain funding as a professional artist.

Raymond Kimball Park

Thanks to the work of Jewish Community Services San Francisco, Neighborhood Services, the Parks system, as well as the entire community we were able to complete the planter box at the newly renovated park! Even brightening up a small area makes a difference to every passerby

Native Butterflies at Allendale Park

Sponsored by Oakland Parks and Recreation, Allendale Park and created through an open community participation. With research guidence from the East Bay Regional Park District ACE Arts artists Kristi Holohan, Elijah Pfotenhauer, Justin Divine, and youth apprentices Jose Vasquez, Onofre Avalos, and Santos created larger than life native butterflies.

The pieces were painted with community participation in the park.

Challenges of Champions (Oakland Public Library)

Stop by the main branch of the Oakland Public Library and check out the exhibit just outside the Teen Zone on the second floor. Special thank you to ACE Arts high school intern Rosie Pereira and Library staff for installation assistance.


The exhibit will be running through the month of January.
